Handicare 1100: the slimmest straight stairlift

The 1100’s strong yet super slim line rail is the narrowest on the market so it obscures less of your stairs than any other straight stairlift system. With its compact design and grease free rail, the 1100 blends in nicely with your interior and is a breeze to keep clean.

Slim: stylish compact design

The Handicare 1100 is ultra slim and compact and can be placed close to the wall, leaving a lot of free space on the staircase for other stair users to safely climb the stairs. It’s the slimmest straight stairlift rail on the market! To save even more space, the stairlift seat, footrest and armrests can be folded when not in use.

The seat will swivel at the top landing, making sure you can get on and off the stairlift easily and safely. Also, the 1100 comes as standard with safety sensors that will stop the lift in case of obstruction.

Handicare 1000

With one of the slimmest straight stairlift tracks on the market, the Handicare 1000 offers minimal track intrusion into the staircase.


This slimline aluminium track has a hidden rack with two park points as standard so the battery can be charged at the top or bottom of the stairs. It can also be supplied with a powered hinge to prevent the track obscuring a doorway at the base of the stairs.


The 1000 straight stairlift comes as standard with a (manual) fold away footrest, seat and arms meaning the lift takes up less room when not in use, allowing more space for other stair users. 


The Smart Seat delivers a choice of six upholstery colours and optional powered features to turn the seat at the top of the staircase or fold the footrest after use.

Handicare 950+

For those requiring full powered options, the 950+ is a stylish solution that overcomes the challenges of climbing straight stairs. It combines the continuous charge track of the 950 with the seat of the Handicare 1000, which means it is available in a selection of six colours.


The 950+ offers the choice of manual or powered folding footrest and swivel options.


The 950+ is compatible with the Handicare's unique powered Slide Track or manual hinge system so if you have a doorway close to the bottom of your stairs the 950+ offers you a choice of solutions to prevent the track from causing an obstruction.


As the name suggests, the 950+ incorporates all the standard features of the 950, but with the option of upgrading the stairlift with a host of useful powered and automatic options and extras.


The ergonomic toggle control was designed in consultation with occupational therapists, making the operation of the stairlift simple and easy, even for users with joint problems, such as arthritis or rheumatism.


A major benefit of the 950+ is its continuous charging function. Unlike some other stairlifts, the 950+ does not have to be parked at a designated charge point - the lift is charged at any point along the entire length of the track, so you can leave the stairlift wherever you want and be confident that it is on a charge point and ready to use.

The seat on the 950+ is wipe-clean and available in a choice of six colours.
